Hoai Huynh Principal, International Development, ICF International Mr. Hoai Huynh is currently ICF International’s Principal for International Development in its Energy, Environment and Transportation (EE&T) Group, responsible for overseeing and directing ICF’s programs and strategies in the developing country context. He has 20 years of technical and project management experience in the U.S. and internationally, working in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Hoai has worked extensively in developing countries, particularly working on USAID, World Bank, and other clients and partners on climate change, environmental, water, and energy programs. Tapping into Climate Finance for Sustainable Energy DevelopmentJuly 16, 2012 On July 16, 2012, the Energy and Infrastructure Workgroup of the Society for International Development – Washington D.C. Chapter, held their first-ever Workgroup event, “Tapping into Climate Finance for Sustainable Energy Development.” A large number of participants came to hear experts from the public and private sectors discuss climate financing. Cliff Polycarp, Senior Associate at the World Resource Institute moderated the days discussion while Alan Miller, Principal Climate Change Specialist at the International Finance Corporation, Mark Fulton, Global Head of Climate Change Investment Research at Deutsche Bank, and Jamie Carlson, Advisor for Finance and Operations to Secretary of Energy Steven Chu at the U.S. Department of Energy, provided their viewpoints on the current U.S. and global climate financing situation.
